Leona Wog

April 9, 1920 — July 28, 2010

Leona Amanda Wog was born April 9, 1920, in Willow Lake Township, the daughter of Henry and Elsie (Trebesch) Rosenau. She was united in marriage to Orville Wog on April 27, 1939, at the Zion Lutheran Parsonage in Sanborn, MN. The couple farmed near Sanborn until 1950, when they moved to Cosmos, MN and farmed there until retiring in 1987. Leona and Orville then moved to Springfield. Leona was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield and the Tabitha Circle. She volunteered at church and St. John Lutheran Home and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and baking. She especially loved taking care of her family. Leona Wog died Wedneday, July 28, 2010, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at the age of 90 years. She is survived by sons- Robert and wife Sally Wog of Galletin, TN, and Richard and wife Cheryl Wog of Willmar, MN; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters- Verna Mude of Springfield, Violet Krebs of Springfield, and Arlene and husband Sonny Vogel of Springfield; and brothers- Wilbert and wife Doris Rosenau of Olivia, MN, and Otto and wife Gertrude Rosenau of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Orville in 1998; and brothers- Emil and Arthur Rosenau.
