Leola Irene Gohr

Leola Irene was born October 29, 1931, in Kimball Township, Jackson County to Leo and Mae (Krueger) Gohr. She was received into full baptism and communion at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Kimball Township, Jackson County on July 28, 1946. Leola graduated from Mountain Lake Public High School in 1950 and then went to Mankato Business College. She worked for Standard Oil and eventually relocated with the company to Minneapolis. She worked as a Payroll Administrator for many years until her retirement. Leola then moved to Mountain Lake in the fall of 1995.

Leola Irene Gohr age 92, of Mountain Lake, Minnesota died on August 31, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society-The Village, Mt Lake in Mountain Lake, Minnesota.

Leola is survived by her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother Francis Bud Gohr and George Gohr; sisters, Lorraine Devens, Ruth Jones, Lois Friesen and Jeanette Hale; sister-in-law Kay Gohr, brothers-in-law LeRoy Devens, Alvin Jones, Melvin Friesen and Nathan Hale; and special family friend Alberta Ostwald.

Burial will be at the Lakefield Cemetery. A private family service will be held at a later date.
