Lenora Theis

Lenora Florentina Maria Buetow Theis was born to Albert and Esther (Buth) Buetow on February 17, 1919, in rural Lamberton, MN. On November 30, 1939, Lenora was united in marriage to Walter Theis at Zion Lutheran Church in Lamberton. She was a lifetime resident of Lamberton, where she was a member of the Lamberton Legion Auxiliary, past member of Zion Lutheran Church serving as the organist for 23 years, and current member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Lenora worked at Miesens Super Valu in Lamberton, Control Data and MPI until retiring in 1983 and then continued to work part time at Valley View Manor until 2007. She loved gardening, yard work, flowers, music, and visits from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lenora died Friday, April 25, 2014, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton at the age of 95. She is survived by her children - Dennis (Arlene) Theis and Eileen Jensen all of Lamberton; grandchildren - Curt (Lynn) Ware of Chandler, AZ, Kim Scholz of Woodbury, MN, Rick (Jodi) Theis of New Germany, MN; great grandchildren - Madi, Hayden, Marissa and Mitchell Theis, Logan and Mason Scholz; brother Willmer (Dorothy) Buetow of Lamberton; sister Irene (Rueben) Dommer of Palos Hills, IL; half sisters - Joyce (Rick) Crooks, Alvina (Larry) Moyars; half brother Myron Buetow; sister-in-law Laurie Buetow; and many nieces and nephews. Lenora was preceded in death by her parents; husband Walter Theis; grandchildren - Scott and Julie Theis; siblings - Florence (Les) Perleberg, Art (Harriet) Buetow, Raymond Buetow, Harry (Noreen) Buetow.
