LaVonne was born to Raymond and Helen Waibel in Cottonwood Township, MN, on February 29, 1944. She married Melvin Walsh and later married Elvin Schuette. Both have preceded her in death.
LaVonne graduated from New Ulm High School in 1963. She was known as a sweet girl with a really jolly, corny laugh who was "never the kind to make a big ado about anything." She built her life in Madelia where she worked and treasured time with many friends and family. Lavonne worked various jobs throughout her life and retired from the House of Print in Madelia after many dedicated years. She loved to joke around with all her co-workers! LaVonne enjoyed doing word search puzzles, talking on the phone, visiting around a kitchen table, bowling and gardening. She grew some of the biggest veggies around! Most of all, LaVonne loved children, dogs, and playing cards! Her competitive, and sometimes sassy side came out! LaVonne lived her final weeks back home in Madelia where family spent hours visiting, eating, and playing cards with her.
LaVonne is survived by her siblings, Donna (Jack) Grady, Harold Waibel, Janice (Tony) Stensrud, Kathy Landkammer, Mike (Gayle) Waibel, Jerry (Carol) Waibel, Sue Armstrong (Jerry Keim), Paul (Becky) Waibel. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention, but know that she thought the world of each of you. Her nephew, Jason Armstrong, will serve as the urn bearer.
LaVonne had a heart for children so any memorials will be donated to St. Jude's in her memory.
