Laurie Ann Luebben, the daughter of Loren Hammo and Loyola June (Jacobs) Luebben was born in Worthington, MN on August 1, 1950. She received her education at Worthington public school, St. Paul's Lutheran School in St. James, MN, and she graduated from St. James High School. On June 7, 1969, Laurie was united in marriage to Loren Frank Klassen at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in St. James. They made their home at Mountain Lake, MN, where she worked at New York Life and Kennel-Aire Manufacturing. She started in the manufacturing and welding area at Kennel-Aire and progressed to office manager. Laurie was a very organized person, immaculate housekeeper, and very loyal to her family, friends and job. She enjoyed NASCAR, researching her ancestry, scrapbooking, and camping with her cousins. She was a proud and loving wife, mother and grandma. Laurie died suddenly at her home in Mountain Lake on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at the age of 59 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Jamie Lane Klassen. Laurie is survived by her husband, Loren Klassen of Mountain Lake; a daughter, Shannon Flaherty and her husband Don of Plainview, MN; a son, Troy Klassen and his wife Angie of Windom, MN; two grandchildren, Taylor and Austin Flaherty; a brother, Bob Luebben and his wife Patti of Denver, CO; many other relatives and friends.
