Laurence Theodore Green, the son of Kinney and Jessie (Klinger) Green was born on the family farm in Selma Township, Cottonwood County, north of Mountain Lake, MN. He received his education at a country school near his home, and he graduated from the Mountain Lake High School. Laurence was baptized at the Christian Reformed Church in rural Mountain Lake, where he remained an active life-long member - serving as a Sunday School Teacher, on the Church Board and on the Cemetery Board. He entered the UnitedStates Army in 1950 and served in the States until returning to the family farm, where he lived and farmed the rest of his life. On June 14, 1986, Laurence was united in marriage to Eunice Mohlenbrock in Marshall, MN. Laurence enjoyed farming and raising cattle, was active in many committees and organizations throughout the area, and enjoyed being involved in politics. Laurence died on Sunday morning, May 8, 2005, at the Springfield Medical Center in Springfield, MN. Laurence is survived by his wife, Eunice Green of Mountain Lake; 3 brothers, Warren and wife Ella Green, Owen and wife Clarlyn Green and Richard and wife Shirley Green all of Mountain Lake; 2 sisters, Lois and husband Robert Mellma of Minneapolis, MN, and Janice and husband Jerry Evers of Comfrey, MN; 2 step-daughters, Charlene and husband Scott Corn of Orlando, FL, and Marcia and husband Dan Petersen of Fairmont, MN; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother and his wife, Donald and wife Rose Ann Green.
