Laura Hattie Schnobrich

Laura Hattie Schnobrich was born March 2, 1923, in Burnstown Township, Brown County to Ernest and Mary (Renner) Meine. She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield. Laura was united in marriage to Frank A. Schnobrich on June 30, 1947 in Sleepy Eye and the couple lived in Stately Township until moving to Springfield in 1992. She was a former member of Christ Lutheran, Stately Township and a current member of St. John Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and Springfield Senior Citizens. Laura enjoyed lawn care, outdoor work, fishing, dancing, playing cards, crocheting, and fanciwork. She also enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, old time music, farming, livestock and poultry. She is survived by son Frank, Jr. and wife Cindy Schnobrich of Springfield; daughter Dorothy and husband Arnold Turbes of Springfield; grandchildren- Brigette (Doug) Brown of Springfield, Jennifer (Tony) Nath of Willmar, Doreen Besse of Oceanside, CA, and Donitta (Kevin) Trebesch of Sleepy Eye; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers- Elmer Meine of Springfield, and Walter (Fern) Meine of Springfield; and sister-in-law Agnes Meine of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank in 1994; grandsons- Jeff Schnobrich and David Turbes; brother Edward Meine; sisters- Frieda Meine in infancy, Esther Jenkins, Gertrude (Don) Willhite, and Rose Rambow; and sister-in-law Rose Meine.
