Laura Bell Lorenz

Laura Bell (Watkins) Lorenz was born to Roy and Ollie May Watkins on March 31, 1921 in Royal, IA. She moved to Minnesota at the age of 5 and attended country school in Butterfield. Laura married Alvin Bennie Lorenz in St. James, Minnesota on December 9, 1936. She worked on the farm with her husband for many years including an antique business of Rainbow Antiques. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, writing poems and short stories. Laura Bell Lorenz, age 97, of Trimont, MN died on November 19, 2018, at Season's Health Care in Trimont. Laura is survived by son Jerry (Bonnie) Lorenz, Ohio; her grandchildren, Cory (Kelly) Lorenz of St. James, Amber (Robb) Smith of Windom; honorary granddaughter Brandee (Jason) Jepsen of Odin; great grandchildren, Cole and Callie Jackson, Macy and Caleb Lorenz; and honorary great-grandchildren Aleesha, Jesse, Baylee, and Mareena Jepsen; sisters-in-law, Lois Watkins of St. James, Viola Watkins of Comfrey, Lila Mathias of St. James. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Lorenz; son, Bobby Lorenz; brothers, Vance and Arthur; sisters, Beverly Jane, Jennie and Zeli.
