Lance Johnson

Lance Johnson age 78, of Nisswa, MN died on February 11, 2021, at Southview Living Center in Gibbon, MN. Visitation will be on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield Chapel. Service will be held at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, MN on Saturday at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery in Springfield, MN. Lance Paul Johnson was born August 5, 1942, in Sleepy Eye, MN, the son of Ellsworth and Helen (Bertrand) Johnson. He was raised in Springfield, MN and graduated from Springfield High School. He attended Mankato State University with a teaching degree and went on to receive a master's degree. He taught school mostly in the Burnsville School Dist. Lance took an early retirement and lived at his lake home near Gull Lake in Nisswa, MN during the summer and spent winters at his home in Naples, FL. He enjoyed volunteering at both Chambers of Commerce in Nisswa, MN and Naples, FL. He is survived by his brother - Brad (Donna) Johnson, a sister-in-law - Liz Johnson, and nieces and nephews.
