Kurt Tessmer

Kurt J. Tessmer was born on September 21, 1962 in Sleepy Eye, MN to Lenus and Muriel (Swenstad) Tessmer. He grew up in Cobden, MN and graduated from Sleepy Eye Public High School. Kurt lived his entire life in the Sleepy Eye area where he worked at Pietrus Foods, Fred's Construction, bartended at the Last Chance Bar, Coleman Power Mate and Anderson Processing. He enjoyed playing cards, camping and playing with his cats, Mick, Charlie and Makita. Kurt loved joking with people and also enjoyed watching sports and played softball when he was younger. He is survived by his fiance, Gayle Hillesheim of Sleepy Eye, mother, Muriel Tessmer of Sleepy Eye, brothers, Larry (Jean) Tessmer, Scott Tessmer, Lynn (Kathy) Tessmer, all of Sleepy Eye, Stacy (Sandi) Tessmer of New Ulm, MN, nephews, Lance, Bryce, Seth, Chase, Sam and nieces, Jessica and Katlyn, and his fiance's children, Jennifer, Amy (Dustin) Wroolie, Joel, Brandon and their families. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, Lenus Tessmer, sister, Kim Tessmer and sister-in-law, Judy Tessmer.
