Kris Gisselberg

Kris Eric Gisselberg was born on August 2, 1962 in Deadwood, SD, the son of Herbert Gail (Welker) Gisselberg. He has lived in Lead, SD, Fairmont, MN, Sleepy Eye, New Ulm, Clements, Redwood and then again in Sleepy Eye. He graduated from Sleepy Eye Public High School. For the last ten years Kris has been a respected contractor for his home improvement business, Custom Interiors of MN. He was a devoted son, father and husband. Kris loved his church and being a Gideon. He brought everyone he knew closer to God. Kris was honorably discharged from the National Guard when he started his family. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, but especially his family cabin in S.D. that his Grandfather built. Most of all he loved to gather around the campfire with his friends and family and relax with his critters at home; 2 dogs, Sunny Sparky, cats, Tinkerbell, Winer, Bright Eyes, Tubby, Sweet Pea, Fluffy, Tiger, Tiny, Sassy, Bingo, Pinky, Punky, Georgia, Scooter, Babes, Izzy Gizzy, 2 birds, Peeps Mohawk. He is survived by his wife, Jolene Kelly Gisselberg of Sleepy Eye, children; Allissa Marie (Stephen) Beck of Belle Plaine, IA, Ryan Gisselberg of Sleepy Eye, Braeden Gisselberg, Colton Gisselberg, both of Rochester, grandma, Bernice Welker, parents, Herbert K. Eva Steskal Gisselberg of Sleepy Eye, grandchild, Courtney Gail Beck, mother and father-in-law, Allen Sandy Middleton of Springfield, step brothers spouses; Andrej Shannon Steskal of Hoffman Estates, IL, Michael Jennifer Steskal of Bloomington, MN, John Cynthia Steskal of Oak Park, IL, brothers-in-law; Michael Johany Middleton of Germany, Diedrich Middleton special friend Crystal Dawley of Springfield, sister-in-law, LuAnn Linus Kruse of Sleepy Eye. Kris is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his mom, Gail Joan (Welker) Gisselberg, 2 sisters, Michele Marie and Heather Gisselberg, Grandpa Nelson Welker and Grandparents, Marie (Tesch) Mahan and John Gordon Gisselberg.
