Kraig L Boyle

February 10, 1974 — December 23, 2022

Kraig Lyn Boyle, 48, husband and father, passed from this life to the next on December 23, 2022. Kraig

was on his way to see Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament when the Lord willed to come to him just

before he stepped foot inside the church. He will be missed by his wife of 20 years, Andrea (Duerr)

Boyle, and their four children: Joseph (19), Jonathan (17), Lucas (14), and Christopher (10) of Sleepy

Eye, MN; his parents, John and Ardel Boyle of Elma, IA; his sisters Kim (Tim) Voth of Rochester, MN

and Kelly (Ron) Blaser of Ostrander, MN, his sister-in-law Gail (Paul) Carone of Choctaw, OK; as well

as many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Kevin Boyle of Norman, OK.

Kraig was a rock, unassuming and steady. God hand-painted him into our lives with the greatest detail

and gentle attention. He was a constant sign of God's deep love for us, even if, in our frailty, we didn't

always recognize it. Kraig would never have wanted a glowing obituary for fear that the militant

Church would not pray for him, so in your charity, please generously beg God for his eternal rest.

However, sharing memories helps to heal our deep loss and to appreciate the stitches God weaves in

our lives with just one soul.

Light-hearted memories, like occasionally waking up to the kids laughing at him because he had dozed

off during nightly rosary; like hardly ever starting an argument with his wife (until it was time to do a

home project together); like making special trips to the gas station because he knew his wife didn't care

for filling the tank...and that she often forgot to even check the gauge; like sharing about his favorite

topics: the stupidity of the Vikings (unless they were winning), the evils of communism, the superiority

of Austrian economics, and, most especially, the beauty, truth, and goodness of the Catholic faith.

Deeply moving memories, like how fiercely he loved each of his children and felt deeply every sorrow

and joy that they had, even though he may not have expressed it fully to them; like praying special

daily prayers without fail for his boys and fasting often for them; like never once complaining about his

duties as husband and father, just quietly, steadfastly getting up and doing it over and over again each

day.

Kraig left this world as he entered it – with nothing – save for one: his Catholic faith. Through that

faith, he came to know, love, and serve Our Most Dear Lord, Jesus Christ. Well done, good and faithful

servant.
