Kevin E. Leopold

Kevin Edward Leopold was born March 17, 1955 to Loren and Lorain (Schmidt) Leopold in Springfield, MN. He was baptized and confirmed March 29, 1969 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sanborn, MN. He attended 8 years of Parochial School at Zion Lutheran in Sanborn. He attended Sanborn High School and graduated on May 25, 1973. Kevin started as a seasonal employee for a year at Del Monte and then full time in June of 1974. He met the love of his life, Marilyn Stevenson and they were married on November 13, 1982. To this union, they were blessed with two sons, Christopher "Chris", Eric (Heather) and two step-granddaughters, Kayla and Andrea. He held many offices at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. He also did a lot of volunteering at St. John's. Kevin Edward Leopold age 67, of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota died on March 31, 2022, at Sleepy Eye Medical Center. Kevin is survived by his wife, Marilyn Leopold; sons, Chris, Eric (Heather); step-granddaughters, Kayla and Andrea; brother, Gary (Kathleen); sister-in-law, Sharon Leopold; brother-in-law, Jeff Stevenson; mother-in-law, Florence Stevenson; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gene Leopold, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
