Kenneth Theodore Wenisch

Kenneth Theodore Wenisch was born on September 1, 1936 to Theodore and Loretta (Turbes) Wenisch in Springfield, MN. He graduated from Springfield High School and served in the National Guard from 1957 to 1965. On November 4, 1959, Ken was united in marriage to Kathleen Sellner at St. Marys Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. The couple farmed in Brookville Township. Ken enjoyed farming, fishing, playing cards, always being right, and assisting mom with cooking. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springfield. Ken passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife Kathleen of Springfield; children - Thomas (Joan) Wenisch of Hutchinson, Kevin Wenisch of Springfield, Janice (Tim) Schwanke of Springfield, and Paul (DeeDee) Wenisch of Morton; grandchildren and great grandchildren - Michael (Tyna) Wenisch, Katie (fiance' Skylar Versteeg) Wenisch, Jacob (Jamie) Wenisch and children Brody and Kasen, Wayne (friend Chelsea Pecholt) Wenisch and children Maci and Gauge, Jeremy (Alicia) Schwanke and children Raigan and Abel, Krystal (John) Kennedy and children Briella and Elijah, Tiffany (Jeremy) Pierson, McKensie Schwanke, and Derek and Kody Wenisch; siblings - Norbert (Patricia) Wenisch of Searles, Lois Birdsong of Meadowlakes, TX, Gerald (Georgeann) Wenisch of Plymouth, Lynn (Bev) Wenisch of Henderson, Jean (Dale) Domeier of Sleepy Eye. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Patrick Wenisch; nephew Brian Wenisch; brother-in-law Lee Birdsong; and several aunts and uncles.
