Kenneth Ray Kremmin, the son of Otto Sr. and Minnie (Gerdes) Kremmin was born on March 20, 1928 on the family farm in Carson Township, Cottonwood County, MN. He was baptized on March 30, 1928, and on March 29, 1942 he was confirmed in his Lutheran Faith and became a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mountain Lake, MN. Kenneth received his education at District 80 West country school and the Mountain Lake High School - graduating in 1946. He served his Country with the United States Army from 1950 - 1952, during the Korean War. On June 12, 1953, Kenneth was united in marriage to Janice Mae Quiring at Bethel Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake. They made their home and farmed together in Midway Township (northeast of Mountain Lake). Janice died on July 24, 1996. Kenneth was active in his church and served as a trustee for many years. He also enjoyed farming, spending time with family, card-playing, farm pets, reading and TV. Kenneth died at the age of 81, on April 15, 2009, at his rural Mountain Lake home. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janice; two brothers-in-law, Joe Fredin and Del Quiring; and two sisters-in-law, Joni Kremmin and Dorothy Kremmin. He is survived by four children and their families, daughter Debbra Kay Schoeb and her husband Dean of Windom, and their sons, Ryan (Molly) Schoeb and their son Cullen, and Brent Schoeb, daughter Sandra Jean Monson and her husband Lynn of Minneapolis, MN, son Steven Lee Kremmin and his wife Becky and their daughter Sara Fiala and special friend Jimmy Wilson and daughter Kyleigh, and daughter Jayne Ann Hovda and her husband David of St. Paul, MN and their son Samuel; two brothers, Ed Kremmin of Bingham Lake, MN, and Otto Kremmin Jr. of Mountain Lake; a sister, Marian Fredin of Mountain Lake; two sisters-in-law, Marcia Munson of Lithchfield, MN, and Sherry Quiring of Fairmont, MN.
