Kenneth Christman

Kenneth Dean Christman, Jr. was born October 26, 1956 at Mt. Lake, MN to parents Kenneth and Joanne (Alkire) Christman. The family moved from Mt. Lake to Windom when Ken was 6 years old and to St. James two years later. Kenneth was Baptized in Mt. Lake and later Confirmed in St. James. Ken attended school in St. James graduating from St. James High School in 1975. He then served three years in the Army stationed in Germany. In 1981, returning from overseas, he worked for his father at Christman Tree and Yard Service until 1986 when he moved to Willmar to attend school. After completing the two year diesel mechanic program he worked at an implement dealership in Willmar until 1994. Returning to St. James he worked at Watonwan Co. Implement then Westin before he was forced to retire because of health problems. Ken enjoyed playing community volleyball, softball, ping pong, pool and bowling. He was an avid fisherman, he and his father would love to fish year around. He was a member of the St. James VFW and American Legion. Kenneth Christman passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. He was preceded in death by his father and his sister Cheryl. Kenneth is survived by his mother, Joanne Christman of Ormsby, brother, Richard Christman of Waldorf, sisters, Kathleen (Charles) Noren of St. James, Debra (Creig) Noren of St. James, Pamela (Mark) Rettig or New Hartford, NY and several nieces and nephews.
