Keith Schultz

The family would prefer memorials be made to the donors choice in leiu of flowers. Keith Richard Schultz was born on June 17, 1942 in Springfield, MN, the son of Adolph Alice (Frederiksen) Schultz. He graduated from Sleepy Eye Public High School. After graduating from high school Keith enlisted in the US Air Force. While stationed in Newfoundland, Canada he met Ann Margaret McNeil and they married on April 11, 1964. They returned to Minnesota in October 1964 and Keith worked for Kraft Foods in New Ulm until 1972 at which time he joined Schultz Cafe to take over for his ill father. Keith and Ann together ran the cafe until their retirement in April 2007. Keith enjoyed golfing, playing cards with his friends and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Keith R. Schultz, 66, of Sleepy Eye, died on Friday, January 9, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Ann of Sleepy Eye, son, Scott (Dawn) children, Andrew, Zachary Jamie Schultz of Willmar, daughter, April (Doug) Weber children, Michael, Allie Kabrie, daughter, Barb (Jason) children, Kyle Sydney Windschitl, son, Steve (Heather) children, Jacob Cody Schultz, all of Sleepy Eye, sisters, Peg (Phil) Hensley of Fairmont, Judy Christensen of Sleepy Eye, Debbie (Dan) Fischer of Sleepy Eye, brother, Bradley (Patti) Schultz of Morgantown, IN, mother-in-law, Emma Mae Young of Newfoundland, sisters-in-law, Rose (Bill) Evans of Sleepy Eye, Mary Baird of IL, brothers-in-law, Limbert (Marion) Young, Eugene (JoAnn) Young, Walter (Wanda) Young, Alphonsus Young, all of Newfoundland and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Adolph in 1972, mother, Alice in 2007, brother-in-law, Grant Christensen in 1999 and sister-in-law, Mariah Young in 2007.
