Dr. Keith Moulton, age 93, of Saint James, died Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Good Samaritan Society-The Village, Mountain Lake, MN. A memorial service will be held at the Sturm Funeral Home in St. James on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be one hour before services. A private interment for the family will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, St. James. Dr. Keith Buell Moulton of St. James, age 93, entered into glory on March 2, 2022at Good Samaritan in Mountain Lake, MN. Keith was born June 11, 1928 in Mankato, MN. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1946, then went to the University of Minnesota for Pre-Med and medical school, and did his internship in St. Paul. In August 1951 he married Marjorie Overmire. In July 1954 he set up his medical practice in St. James, partnering with Dr. Roger Parsons. That September he was called into the Navy as a medical doctor for two years, serving in San Diego, CA and Seattle WA. Dr. Moulton enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, and sailing, combining these loves by building a cabin in 1962 on Lake Florida. He was a Rotarian for over 60 years. He served on the American Cancer Society board, the hospital board, and the school board. He was active in Relay for Life. He served many years as Treasurer of the United Methodist Church. After retiring in 2010 along with his partner of 56 years, Dr. Roger Parsons, Dr. Moulton volunteered at the Mayo Clinic Health System and also delivered Meals on Wheels. His faith in Christ was a driving force in his life and in all he did. He enjoyed playing the piano, going on walks, and feeding squirrels. Drs. Moulton & Parsons received the Sertoma Club Award in 1995 for their selfless service to the St. James community. In 1999 they received the first-ever Rural Health Heroes Award. Dr. Moulton delivered thousands of babies in his many years of practice, including one of his own children and four of his grandchildren. Dr. Moulton was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Claude and Laura Moulton, and one brother, Harland. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marge; sons David (Pamela) and Brian (Laurie); daughters Kay (Allan) Hawkins and Judy (Bruce) Haugen; grandchildren Randi (Joshua) Streblow, Jana (Dan) Eads, Grant Hawkins, Stephen (Rebecca) Moulton, Sarah (Ryan) Miller, Hannah Haugen and Simon Haugen; and 17 great-grandchildren.
