Keith Robert Kathman

Keith Kathman passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Luther Memorial Home in Madelia. Memorial services will be 11am, Thursday, November 16, 2017 at First Lutheran Church in St. James with Rev. Gwen Hermanson officiating. Visitation will be at the church beginning one hour prior to services on Thursday. Keith Robert Kathman was born on May 20, 1955 in Tracy, MN, the son of Junior & Donna (Hanson) Kathman. Keith grew up in Tracy until he was about 12 years old moving then to Butterfield. Keith worked for Butterfield foods for several years. He met and married Karen Johnson in 1972, they later divorced. Keith then worked at St. James Plating, Overson Lumber, and maintenance work at Super 8, and St. Paul Lutheran & Truman School, Watonwan Co. Courthouse and Pheasant Run Apartments in Madelia. Keith loved to fish, when he was younger he spent lots of time with his father fishing and in later years with his grandson. He also enjoyed pheasant hunting and spending time with his family and friends. Keith is survived by his wife Robin Kathman of Lewisville, children; Chastity (Barry) Nelson of St. James, Brandon (Jenny) Kathman of Rochester, Kristina Kathman (Luis) of St. James, Emma Fischer of Lewisville, Kyle Kathman of Lewisville, 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, siblings; Jerry (Sandy) Kathman of Milbank, SD, Scott (Terra) Kathman of New Ulm, Renee (Jeff) Sorbel o St. James. He is preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Richard Fischer, grandson Joshua nelson and nephew Shawn Kathman.
