Kathleen Jo Ferdinandt

Kathleen Jo Ferdinandt, age 67, of Willmar, died peacefully September 16, 2026, at Centra Care Hospital in St Cloud, MN, following a brief illness.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Kathleen Jo (Kathy) Ferdinandt was born March 22, 1959, in Springfield, MN, to Robert and Sharon (McCann) Ferdinandt. Kathy grew up in Springfield and graduated from Springfield High School in 1977.

Kathy had a big heart and enjoyed doing things for others. She enjoyed word search books and embroidering, gifting her embroidery projects to her relatives and friends for special occasions. She was a longtime volunteer for the American Red Cross helping with blood drives by donating cakes and bars as well as being a blood donor. Kathy was recently honored by the Red Cross for her long-term service and volunteerism, playing bingo and going to meat raffles at the Willmar American Legion was her favorite pastime. When she would win, she would share those winnings with others. A very ardent Vikings fan, she would text family members with her praise or disgust for “her” team during the game. Even though she couldn’t own a dog for a pet, she cared deeply for those who could, often giving coupons to the owners and treats to the puppies,

Kathy is survived by her mother, Sharon Ferdinandt of Springfield, siblings Jackie (Craig) Fautsch of Buffalo, Terry (Mary Siegmann) of Wadena, Cindy (Dan) Hillesheim of Springfield, Jim (Sheri) Ferdinandt of Venice, FL. and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert, in 2023.
