Judy Schumacher

Judy Eckstein was born on August 31, 1947 in Sleepy Eye, MN the daughter of Albert and Evelyn (Zuhlsdorf) Eckstein. She grew up and attended school in Sleepy Eye. Judy married Vernon R. Schumacher on November 17, 1967 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. The couple made their home in Sleepy Eye their whole lives. Judy was a member of the Sleepy Eye American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed making quilts, playing bingo, pool and darts. She loved to go fishing and spend time with her grandchildren. Judy Kay Schumacher, age 60, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center. Survivors include her husband Vernon of Sleepy Eye, daughters, Pamela Schumacher (Bret Otzenberger) their sons, Russ Max of Inver Grove Heights, Carmen (Pete) Wersal their sons, Dylan Kyle of Sleepy Eye, Vicky Schumacher of Marshall, Lorie Schumacher and her children, Kevin, Branden, Trenna Shaylee of Redwood Falls and Amy Barnes and her daughter, Keesha of Redwood Falls, brother, Charles (Carol) Eckstein of Sleepy Eye and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Lorna Otzenberger.
