Judith Rae "Judy" Kunkel age 66, of Mountain Lake, MN died on January 31, 2025, at Windom Area Hospital in Windom, MN.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Sturm Funeral Home, Mountain Lake Chapel.

Judith Rae "Judy" Kunkel, was born on August 12, 1958 to Robert "Bob" Christoffer and Mavis (Coyer) Christoffer in Spirit Lake, IA.  She graced our lives with her kindness, laughter, and unyielding spirit for nearly seven decades.  Judy's life was defined by her love for family and friends, her unwavering dedication to her passions, and her ability to bring joy to those around her. She possessed an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel special, and her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Judy's presence was a light in the lives of many.  Judy will be dearly missed, but her love and light will continue to inspire us. May we carry her memory forward with the same grace and joy that she embodied throughout her life.

Judy will be remembered by her mother, Mavis Christoffer; sons, Jeremy (Ashley) Bennett, Josten Bennett; step-son, Jeremy (Megan) Kunkel; grandchildren, Stephanie (John) Penkunis, Akayshia Smith, Summer Smith, Trenton Wilson, Ella and Jameson Kunkel; great-grandchildren, Everett, Athena, Daphne; brother, Paul (Tammy) Christoffer, along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She is preceded in death by her father, Robert "Bob" Christoffer; husbands, Rich Kunkel and David Ward; brothers, Bruce and David Christoffer, and sister, Vickey Christoffer.
