Joseph Edward Behm Jr. age 84, of Walnut Grove, MN  died on November 1, 2023, at Windom Area Hospital in Windom, MN

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield Chapel.

Service will be held at the Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield Chapel, on Thursday at 11:00 am.

The clergy will be Father Jeremy Kucera. Interment will be at the Springfield City Cemetery in Springfield, MN.

Joseph Edward Behm, Jr was born on May 30, 1939, in Fingal, ND the son of Joseph and Agnus (Stidle) Behm.  He was baptized and confirmed at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fingal, ND.  Joe attended school in Fingal and Verona, ND and following his graduation, Joe served in the Airforce.  Joe retired from the Highway Department after a 20-year career.  He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fingal, ND and St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Valley City, ND.  Joe really enjoyed running, riding bikes, and working on old cars.  He loved spending time with his special friend Jean and their cat Foxy.

Joe died on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the Windom Hospital at the age of 84.

He was survived by his sister - Joan Jewett; nieces - Charleen, Pam, Jacki, Mary, Cathy; and a cousin - Irene.  Joe was preceded in death by parents, special friend - Jean Schroeder, sister Dorothy (Robert), and brother-in-law Norman.
