Jon Edward Henry, age 54 of Madelia, MN died on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024 surrounded by loved ones at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, MN.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the American Legion in Madelia.
A graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Madelia on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 10:00 am. We welcome family and friends joining the Celebration of Life to wear their favorite 80’s rock band or Minnesota sports team shirt.

Jon Edward Henry was born in Madelia, MN on December 28th, 1969, to Kenneth and Marjean (Harldson) Henry. He was a 1988 graduate of Madelia High School. During his time in high school, he enjoyed playing football and spending time with his friends. After high school, Jon attended college at DeVry Institute of Technology in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Operations. While attending college, Jon married his high school sweetheart, Traci on June 23, 1990, at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Madelia. They were blessed with four sons: Joshua, Justin, Jordan and Jared. Jon had a successful career with Jones Metal Products in Mankato for nearly thirty years. He also worked for the Madelia Lumber Yard, Tony Downs Foods, and TBEI. Jon enjoyed golfing, going to concerts and listening to music with friends and his four boys, wrestling with his grandsons at their frequent visits, scenic wildlife cruises while listening to music, and attending/watching the Minnesota Vikings and Twins.
Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Marjean and Kenneth Henry and mother-in-law, Karen Wihlm. Jon is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Traci (Wihlm) Henry of Madelia; his sons, Joshua (fiancé Aryn Gustafson) Henry of Madelia, Justin Henry of Madelia, Jordan Henry of Madelia, and Jared (fiancé Madison Mueller) Henry of Madelia; brother, Steve Henry of Colorado Springs, CO; sister, Susan Henry of Fairmont; grandchildren, Ivan and Easton Henry; step-grandchildren, Aubrey and Olivia Dick; father-in-law, Dan Wihlm; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials preferred to United Way or Ronald McDonald House, in lieu of flowers.
