John Surber

John Edwin Surber, 70, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 in St. James. Celebration of life will be Aug. 7 at 4 p.m. at Memorial Lanes in St. James. Burial will take place in Lewiston, Mt. at a later date. John was born April 18, 1946. He was a great family man, loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed family, friends, fishing and most of all his dog, Ruby. He drove truck the majority of his life and had recently retired to St. James in December of 2015. John will be remembered most for his kindness and the ability to tell the greatest stories and jokes for all who would listen. He is survived by his children, Samantha Lodge of Great Falls, Mt., Lynn (Julie) Bonsall of Nampa, Idaho, Lisa Westman (Mark) of St. James, Lorena Surber of St. James, Chad Surber of Nampa, Idaho, Misty (Shawn) Monson of Missoula, Mt.; grandchildren, Ryan Westman, Tyler Westman, Johnathan Surber, Dustin Curl, Drake Surber, Zoe Monson, Percy Monson, and Max Lodge.
