John Richard Kuebler was born December 22, 1933, the son of, George & Mathilda Kuebler near Sleepy Eye, MN. He grew up in that area until his marriage to Delores Vollmer on October 6, 1952. In the early years he worked for Culligan Soft Water and with his brothers George and Glen operating Kuebler Sodding, cutting and laying sod. In 1961 John started St. James Auto Salvage. He sold auto parts, processed scrap metal and ran a 24 hour wrecker service for the next 50 years. John was passionate about hunting, especially moose hunting travelling as far as many Canadian provinces an even Alaska pursuing his favorite hobby. Other interests include fishing, collecting guns, duck decoys and belt buckles. John died on May 5, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System-St. James. John is survived by his children; Lynette (Ken) Reiman of Fairmont, Bradley (Denise) Kuebler of St. James,Cynthia Contreras of New Richmond, WI, Rebecca Kueber of St. James, Melanie Roeglin and her fianc Ron Heiland of Norwood Young America, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sisters; Janet Hillesheim of Glenwood, Kathleen Vogel of Sanborn, sisters-in-law; Esther Kuebler of Arlington, Maggie Kuebler of Sleepy Eye, Lorraine Boesch of New Ulm, Kay Vollmer of Luverne and Helen Eker of Finland. He is preceded in death by his wife Delores in 2010, parents, brothers George, Glen and Charles, sisters Doris Sellner and Beatrice Witt, and several brothers & Sisters-in-law.
