Joann Schwartz

JoAnn Marie Schwartz was born on August 30, 1944 in Springfield, MN, the daughter of Joseph Sr. and Mildred (Schunk) Lang. She attended and graduated from Sanborn High School. On November 30, 1963, she was united in marriage to David R. Schwartz in Sanborn, MN. The couple made their home in New Ulm and Springfield. JoAnn was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield and St. Anne's CCW, Council of Catholic Women, and a 29 year member of the Springfield American Legion Auxiliary -where she served as President. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, fishing, playing cards, baking, cooking for family and friends, watching birds and squirrels and spending time at the Ranch. JoAnn was an avid blood donor. JoAnn died on Saturday July 25, 2009 at her home in Springfield at the age of 64 years. She is survived by her husband - David of Springfield; children - Bonnie (Dan) Seidl of Sleepy Eye, MN and Kirk Schwartz of Ashburn, VA; 4 grandchildren; sisters-in-law - Ginny Lang, Diane Lang, and Jeannie Plamann; brothers-in-law - Harold Schwartz, Richard (Dorothy) Schwartz, LeRoy Hagert, and Pete Campbell.
