Joan Margaret Schroepfer Abrahamson

Joan Margaret Abrahamson was born on April 13, 1931 on the family farm in Stark Township, MN, the daughter of Henry and Marie A. (Schumacher) Braun. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Sleepy Eye. She married Gerald T. Schroepfer on September 14, 1950 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Gerald preceded her in death in 1969. She later married Dale Abrahamson on December 29, 1984 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Joan drove school bus for Sleepy Eye Bus Service. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, fancy work, flowers and gardening. She is survived by daughters, Jean Schmitz of Arroyo Grande, CA; Beth Schroepfer (Jerry Judkins) of Lakeland, Karen (Terry) Galuska of Rochester, Kathy (Jeff) Mathahs of Garner, IA, sons, Stanley (Linda) Schroepfer of Comfrey, Paul (Linda) Schroepfer of Sleepy Eye, Glenn(Cindy)Schroepfer of Sleepy Eye, Curt Schroepfer of Sleepy Eye, daughter-in-law, Kari Schieffert of Sleepy Eye, 21 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, step children, Deb (Neil) Pehrson of New Ulm, Brenda Abrahamson of New Ulm, Darrell (Tracy) Abrahamson of Lafayette, Dennis (Denise) Abrahamson of North Mankato, 9 Step-Grandchildren, 6 Step-great grand children and siblings, Rose Goldschmidt of Wilmer, Brenda (Jeff) Carlson of Bloomington, Kathleen Braun of Sleepy Eye, (Audrey) Braun of Alexandria, Lloyd (Suzanne) Braun of Sleepy Eye, Leo Braun of Runaway Bay, TX, Robert Braun of Sleepy Eye. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald, husband, Dale, son, James, grandson, Jeremy Schmitz and brothers, Henry Jr. and Alvin J Braun; brother-law Milo (Pete) Goldschmidt.
