Jerome Vincent Schimschock was born on May 14, 1930 in Milford Township, MN the son of John and Mary (Weiss) Schimschock. He grew up and attended school in Sleepy Eye, graduating from Public High School in 1948. Jerome married Joan Thul on May 4, 1964 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. The couple lived and farmed in rural Sleepy Eye for many years. Jerome was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Catholic Aid and the Eagles Club in Sleepy Eye. He enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren, going to their activities, watching the Twins and Vikings on television, old time music and having coffee with friends at Essig. 76 year old Jerome Schimschock of rural Sleepy Eye, MN, died Monday, May 15, 2006 at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center. Survivors include his wife Joan of rural Sleepy Eye, children, Scott (fiancee JoAnn) of Cobden, Jeff (Mary) of Arlington and Lisa (Doug) Sellner of Sleepy Eye, nine grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Marie Schimschock of New Ulm, Phyllis Schimschock of Waite Park, JoEllen Thul of Huntsville, AL, Phyllis (Gary) Heinrich of Woodbury, Judy (Curtis) Olson of Ham Lake, Diane (Chuck) Case of Sleepy Eye and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Mel, Jim, Ray and Eugene, sisters, Alice Domeier and Sally Zwach, brothers-in-law, Jerome Zwach, William Domeier, Donald Thul and Ralph Thul, mother and father-in-law Lorraine Al Thul.
