Jerome Fischer

Jerome Fischer was born on September 9, 1941, in Springfield, MN, the son of Bernard L. and Mary Lenertz.  He graduated from Comfrey High School and served in the Army Reserves.  Jerome was married to Diana Guetter on August 26, 1967 in Wabasso, MN.  Jerome milked cows and was a farmer at heart.  He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Comfrey, MN and participated in Catholic Aid.  Jerome enjoyed time with his family and grandchildren, hunting, visiting with people, telling jokes and was always willing to help out a neighbor.

Jerome died on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm, MN at the age of 82.

He is survived by his wife - Diana Fischer of Comfrey, MN; children - Mike (Karla) Fischer of Comfrey, MN and Susan (Christopher) Romsdahl of Comfrey, MN; grandchildren - Austin (Brooke) Fischer, Matthew Fischer, Zakary Fischer, Makenze Fischer, Kaylee Romsdahl, Bradyn Romsdahl, and Alexis Romsdahl; and a brother - Richard Fischer of Denver, CO.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a son - David Fischer; and siblings; Jean Nosbush, Robert Fischer, Bernard M. Fischer, Marilyn Klein, and Phyllis Shaw.
