Jennifer Joy Anderson

Jennifer Joy Anderson was born to Garland and Adeline (Bartel) Anderson on January 31, 1968. She attended elementary and high school in Madelia. In 1988 she received an Associate in Arts degree in Early Childhood Development from the Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa. Jennifer worked in full-time child care for several families and was most recently employed as a paraprofessional in the Madelia school system. Jennifer was also an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, serving on several boards and teaching Sunday School. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, crafting, music, reading, watching movies and caring for cats, dogs and other animals. Jennifer loved people, especially children and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Jennifer Joy Anderson age 48, of Madelia, MN died on August 20, 2016, at the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, following a brief, courageous battle with cancer. Jennifer is survived by her mother - Adeline, sister - Audrey, brother - Glenn, all of Madelia; uncles - Herman (Betty) Anderson, E. Luverne Bartel; aunts - Lucille Anderson, Hilma Kelly, Luella Schofield, Elfriede Anderson, Marlys Johnson, Marion Bartel; many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Garland Anderson; grandparents, Reinhart (Marie) Anderson, Henry (Sarah) Bartel; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
