Jeffrey Kietzer

Jeffrey Lee Kietzer was born on August 28, 1953 in Madelia, the son of Leland and Marilyn (Sonnabend) Kietzer. Jeff attended and graduated from Amboy High School in 1971. He was united in marriage to LeAnn Bruns on December 9, 1972 at the Church of Christ in Madelia, MN. The couple moved to a farm near Lamberton in 1975 where Jeff farmed, managed chicken barns, and worked at the ASC office. Jeff was a Township Board Chairman and a member of the Church of Christ in Lamberton where he was a Deacon. He enjoyed visiting with his neighbors and friends and was also active in the community. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jeff peacefully ended his long term battle with congestive heart failure on Monday, April 3, 2006 in Madelia at the age of 52 years. He is survived by his wife - LeAnn Kietzer of Lamberton; children - Charles Kietzer of Lamberton, Rhonda and husband Josh Caldwell of Westminster, CO, and Colleen Kietzer of Mankato; four grandchildren - Lily, Hudson, Weston, and Layn; his parents - Leland and Marilyn Kietzer of Vernon Center along with his sister Jolene and brothers Jay and Jim; mother-in-law - Betty Bruns; and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents- Erich and Leona Sonnabend ; a father-in-law - Leonard Bruns; and a nephew - Jason Bruns.
