Jeannine Holmberg

Jeannine Norma Holmberg, 88, of Lamberton, passed away peacefully, January 9, 2026; leaving behind a life centered around family, faith, and the things she enjoyed most. She was a straightforward, steady person who showed her love through actions, and her faith was a constant part of her life.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11:00AM, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Lamberton with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Jeannine and Darrell spent 40 years on their farm in Lamberton, Minnesota, after moving from Storden. The farm was the heart of their life together - a place where family gathered, work was shared, and memories were made.

Jeannine enjoyed many simple pleasures: playing cards, bowling, watching birds, tending to her flowers, and going shopping. She was deeply involved in her church, the Legion Auxiliary, and Bible study. Her faith was not just something she talked about - it guided her, grounded her, and carried her through both good times and hard ones.

Jeannine is survived by her brothers and sisters, Bob (Carrie) Meyer, Carol Flitter, Rich (Wendy) Meyer, Marv (Diane) Meyer, and Lillian (Mark) Gronewold. She is also survived by her children, Cathie (Mark) Helminick and Robin Martin, along with her six grandchildren and five great‑grandchildren, all of whom meant the world to her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Darrell; her siblings, Nick Meyer, Ramona; sister and brother‑in‑law, Blanch and Gerald; and her children Jonathan and Carrie.

She will be remembered for her steady presence, her strong faith, and the way she cared for the people around her. Her family and friends will miss her deeply.
