Jeannette Evelyn Nelson, the daughter of John Marvin and Ellen Jeannette (Sharbonda) Nelson, was born on August 30, 1949, at Grand Rapids, MN. She graduated from Northland High School in Remer, MN, and she continued her education with nursing training. Jeannette worked as a nurse and lovingly raised her family in northern Minnesota and Washington. On June 2, 1984, Jeannette was united in marriage to John Gordon Hall at Bremerton, WA. She was a loving and dedicated Navy wife, was involved with Habitat for Humanity in St. James, and worked at McDonalds. She enjoyed gardening and canning, and being a mother and grandmother for her family. Jeannette died at the age of 58 years, on Thursday morning, September 20, 2007, at Immanuel St. Joseph's Mayo Health Hospital in Mankato, MN. Jeannette is survived by her husband, John Hall of St. James, MN; six children, Jeannie (Jim) Davidson of Montgomery, MN, Michael Ackerman of Houston, TX, Brent Ackerman of Bremerton, WA, Brandon (Cindy) Ackerman of Silverdale, WA, Danna (Nicolas) Bastien of Fort Huachuca, AZ, and John (Teri) Hall of St. James; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Fern (Kevin) Hanson; four brothers, Steven (Ruth) Nelson of Richland, WA, Charles (Elaine) Nelson of Remer, MN, Gene (Ty) Nelson of Grand Rapids, MN, and Lewis Nelson of Duluth, MN; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, James C. Ackerman USAF, and Donald Millslagle; a sister, Anna Cochman; and a brother, Marvin Nelson.
