Janice Marie Meidl

Janice M Meidl age 85, of Springfield, MN died on February 24, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 10 to 11 am at St. Raphael Catholic Church, Springfield, MN. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Raphael Catholic Church on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 11 am. The clergy will be Father Jeremy Kucera. Interment will be at St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery in Springfield, MN.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.

Janice Marie Pascher was born in Springfield, MN on September 27, 1938, the daughter of  John and Adoline (Sprank) Pascher. She attended and later graduated from Springfield High School. Janice married the love of her life Dennis Meidl on September 12, 1959. Together they enjoyed traveling the United States and took many fishing trips to Northern MN and Canada. Janice spent her time sewing, gardening, canning, reading romance novels, watching old westerns and going to garage sales. She had a deep love for animals, especially her cats and enjoyed drawing horses. She was a member of St. Raphael's Ladies CCW and the church craft ladies group.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dennis; daughter, Jodi (Steve) of Vernon Center; sons, Randy (Lori) of Springfield, Kevin (Debra) of Prior Lake, and Jim (Joy) of Springfield; grandchildren, Tony (Lynette), Chris (Mariah), Bryant (Tiffany), Matthew, Aaron, Adam (Becca), Nathaniel (Maddie), Hannah (Adam), Grace, Amber (Jeremy), and  Jacob; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Gary Pascher of Springfield and Frank Pascher of Shelton, WA. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, John and Adoline Pascher; grandson, Lucas Meidl; and sisters-in-law, Sharon Pascher and Janice Pascher.
