Janice Juhnke

Janice Kay Juhnke was born October 28, 1952 in Redwood Falls, MN to Clifford and Noreen (Weber) Weedman. She lived most of her life in Sanborn and rural Lamberton and graduated from Sanborn High School. She then lived and worked in Willmar for a short time in the 1970's. Jan was united in marriage to Stuart Juhnke on July 3, 1985 at the United Methodist Church in Lamberton. She was a member of the Lamberton United Methodist Church and initiated and coordinated Memories of a Hometown Christmas in Sanborn since its' origin. Jan loved to play softball in her younger years and shoot scotch doubles pool tournaments with Denny. She was also an avid fan of Elvis and the Vikings. She enjoyed playing cards and board games, working and playing on the computer, gardening, watching mystery movies, and listening to country music. Jan especially enjoyed visiting with friends and family, and loved to watch sporting events when her grandchildren were involved. Jan was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis in 1981, Lymphoma in 1999, received a bone marrow transplant in 2000, and contracted Leukemia in 2013 which limited her physical activities. She is survived by husband Stuart; step-children- Kevin and wife Trudi Juhnke and son Tucker of Lamberton, Craig and wife LeeAnn Juhnke and children Carter and Kari of Hutchinson, Kyle Juhnke and children Ashton and Ava of Lamberon, and Karen and husband Dave Irlbeck and sons Austin and Mason of Lamberton; sisters-in-law- Judy Weedman of Springfield, and Marilyn Weedman of Sanborn; nephews- Jon (Nicole) Weedman of Jordan, and Greg (Miranda) Weedman of Janesville; nieces- Kelly (Brent) Weber of Sartell, Koree (Jim) Boyle of Morgan, and Kim (Stetson) Shoen of Springfield; brother-in-law Michael (June) Juhnke of Appleton; sisters-in-law- Marilyn (Danny) Dillabough of Alexandria, and Sharon (Gene) Gollmer of Granite Falls; and many Juhnke nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents- Clifford in 1991 and Noreen in 2011; mother-in-law Charlotte Juhnke in 1994; and brothers- Gary Weedman in 2008, and Dennis Weedman in 2009.
