Jan Seidl

Jan Marie Seidl was born on August 30, 1956 to Clarence Skin and June (Carter) Cook in Sleepy Eye, MN. She grew up in Sleepy Eye and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1974. Jan married Martin Seidl on June 6, 1975 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Jan and Martin farmed South of Sleepy Eye in Stark Township. Martin preceded Jan in death on January 9, 1985. She continued to live in Sleepy Eye where she worked at Sleepy Eye Public School. In 2007, Jan moved to Apple Valley, MN. She most enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and family. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. Jan was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She is survived by her children, Laura Seidl of Apple Valley, Brady (Nicolle) Seidl of Prior Lake, grandchildren, Hailey and Charlotte Seidl, brother, Brian (Julie) Cook of Sleepy Eye, sister, Vicky Helget of Sleepy Eye, sisters-in-law, Suzanne (Lloyd) Braun of Sleepy Eye, Shirley (Tom) Kuck of Searles and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law, Norbert and Viola Seidl, husband, Martin and a brother in infancy, Ricky.
