James Riebel

James Albert Riebel was born on August 10, 1935 in Sleepy Eye, MN the son of Albert Susan (Schmitz) Riebel. He was an only child and resided on the family farm his whole life. He attended country school and later St. Mary's Catholic School in Sleepy Eye. Jim followed in his father's footsteps and took on farming. He was also involved with the Keltgen Seed Company. Jim enjoyed spending time with his friends and neighbors, especially playing cards. Jim also enjoyed watching and participating in tractor pulls and watching Band Wagon. Survivors include, cousins, Ken Richert, Roland (Lenore) Richert, Avona (Ralph) Bielen all of Springfield, Don (Joan) Richert of Sleepy Eye, special friend, Agnes Kortte of Sleepy Eye and her daughter and family, Melinda (Craig) Lund and children, Dylan, Hailey and Allie all of Mankato, friends, Dennis (Mary) Sellner of Sleepy Eye and Brenda Trebesch of Glencoe. He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts and uncles.
