James Moody

James Otto Moody was born July 17, 1938 in Springfield, the son of Elmer and Lunetta (Weber) Moody. He grew up on a farm in Stately Township and attended school in Stately Township. He also attended school at Zion Lutheran School in Sanborn and graduated from Sanborn High School. Jim entered the U.S. Army and served from 1961 until 1963. He married Audrey Gramentz on October 9, 1965 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sanborn. The couple farmed in Stately Township and in 1996 they moved to his home farm in Stately Township and retired in 2000. Jim was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Springfield. He enjoyed keeping himself busy on his farm, feeding the wildlife and spending time with his family. James died on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at his home in rural Sanborn surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife - Audrey of Sanborn; children - Tammie and husband Fred Trumpy of Sun Prairie, WI, Paula and husband Tom Timmerman of DeForest, WI, and James G. Moody of Sanborn, MN; grandchildren - Shane, Natasha, and Dylan Trumpy; and a sister - Helen Rogotzke of Sanborn, MN. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law - Al Rogotzke.
