Irene Siekmann

Irene E. Siekmann was born on July 29, 1920 in New Avon Township, Redwood County, the daughter of Earl and Alma (Raddatz) Kalk. She attended country School District #97 in New Avon Township. Irene married Earl E. Siekmann on October 23, 1942 in Redwood Falls, MN. The couple farmed near Wabasso before moving to rural Lamberton. In 1977 they moved into Lamberton. Irene worked at the Lamberton American Legion for 25 years. She enjoyed baking, gardening and calling Bingo. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton and the Lamberton Legion Aux. Irene died on Sunday, April 15, 2007 at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine, MN at the age of 86 years. She is survived by her son - James and Barb Siekmann of Prior Lake, MN; grandchildren - Carrie Siekmann and Becky Siekmann; a sister - Evelyn Hammerschmidt of Wabasso; and a brother - Harold and Ruth Kalk of Morgan. Irene is preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1979; and her brothers and sisters.
