Irene Schneider

Irene Kathryn Schneider was born November 4, 1918, in Springfield, MN, the daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Rummel) Schneider. She attended St. Raphael's School and then worked at Pietrus Drying Plant, Olson's Grocery Store and Ben Franklin in Sleepy Eye. Irene was a lifetime resident of Springfield and a lifetime member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Anne's CCW and enjoyed walking, biking, game shows, word puzzles and gardening. Irene Kathryn Schneider died Friday, September 1, 2006, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at the age of 87 years. Survivors include brother- Frank and Irene Schneider of Springfield; nieces- Margie and Al Eichten, Judy and Neil Gehrt, and Karen and Terry Fredin; and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters- Margaret, Catherine and Mary; and brothers- Wenzel, Tony and Joseph.
