Irene Schiller

There will be a Christian Mothers Rosary at 7pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Irene Schiller, 88, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on Sunday, September 23, 2007 at her home in Sleepy Eye. Irene Schiller was born on April 13, 1919 to George Mary (Neidecker) Wurtzberger in Stark Township, Brown County, MN. She married Leonard Schiller on September 1, 1936. They had four daughters. Irene was employed as a telephone operator for 10 years also at AUI (Norwood) for 18 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye and the Christian Mothers Society. Irene enjoyed going to old time music dances, spending time with family and friends and going to Las Vegas. Irene is survived by her daughters, Jean (Paul) Volker and Joyce (Tom) Roberts, son-in-law, William Trebesch, all of Sleepy Eye, 16 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 10 great step grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leonard, daughters, Janet Ulmen and Joan Trebesch, 3 sisters, 3 brothers, 2 brothers-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law.
