Irene Bollig

Irene Frances Bollig was born February 11, 1924, the daughter of Frank and Frances (Siebenand) Dombrowski. She attended grade school at St. Raphael's Catholic School and graduated from Springfield High School in 1941. Irene then attended school in Rock Island, IL and also worked at The Arsenal in Rock Island. She was united in marriage to Gene Bollig on January 18, 1949, in Mason City, IA. Irene was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Comfrey Senior Citizens, a Home Extension Club and several card clubs. She loved to play cards and spend time with her family and friends. Irene Bollig died July 16, 2005, in St. Paul, MN at the age of 81 years. Survivors include sister- Florence Seidl of North Mankato; brother- Gordon (Wilma) Dombrowski of Denver, CO; brother-in-law- Irving Hancock of Davenport, IA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers- Raymond and Cy Dombrowski; and sister- DeLoris Hancock.
