Irene Roslyn Nelson the daughter of Frank (F.A.) and Lydia (Warling) Nelson was born on the family farm on March 22, 1913 . She was babtized and confirmed at the West Sveadahl Lutheran Church. Irene grew up in the West Sveadahl area where she attended rural school. She went to Gustavus Adolphus Academy in St. Peter for high school. On June 10, 1931 she married Dellas Anderson at West Sveadahl. The couple farmed in the West Sveadahl area until their retirement in 1970 when they moved to Staples, MN. Following Dellas's death in 1973 Irene moved back to St. James. She moved to Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center in 2003. She is preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons Wendell and Verne, parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law and 1 sister-in-law and their spouses. She is survived by her sons Jim (Judy) Anderson of St. James, Larry (Susan) Anderson of St. James, Danny (Pat) Anderson of Mankato, daughters-in-law Pat Anderson of St. James, Violet Anderson of St. James; sister-in-law Opal Nelson of Butterfield, grandchildren Nancy Leach, Pam (Mike) Murphy, Sue (Scott) Johnson, Mark Anderson, Tom (Donna) Anderson, Peggy (Terry) Resick; Norman (Shirley) Anderson, Bob (Dawn) Anderson, Ken (Mary) Anderson; Janae (Jason) Julian; Matthew (Katrin) Anderson, Karl (Sarah) Anderson, Emily (Jake) Birkholz, Andrew Anderson; Benjamin Anderson, Lucas Anderson, 33 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
