Hildegard Callanan

Hildegard 'Hildie' Veronica Callanan was born July 9, 1922, in Sleepy Eye, MN, the daughter of Henry and Frances (Rieder) Krzmarzick. She was united in marriage to Edward Callanan on July 25, 1942, in Rolla, MO. Following marriage the couple lived in North Mankato, then moved to Springfield. Hildie was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church and the CCW. She enjoyed playing cards, visiting, and caring for her friends and neighbors. Hildie's whole purpose in life was her family and she will be sadly missed. Hildie Callanan died Monday, May 28, 2007, at Providence Place in Minneapolis at the age of 84 years. She is survived by her children- Kathy and husband Don Larson of Marco Island, FL, James and wife Karin Callanan of Edina, Jane and husband Jim Jans of Mankato, Kevin and wife Sands McAless Callanan of St. Paul, and Daniel and wife Michele Callanan of Savage; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters- Rosita Krzmarzick of Rochester, and Bernice Eckstein of Sleepy Eye; and brother- Art Krzmarzick of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward in 1998; and sons- Edward and Patrick at birth.
