Hilda Peters

April 16, 1919 — December 29, 2007

Hilda (Wannow) Peters was born April 16, 1919, to John and Charlotte (Stading) Wannow in Mountain Lake, MN. She was baptized upon confession of her faith at the Gospel Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake, where she remained a member. Upon graduation she was united in marriage to Albert H. Peters on December 5, 1937. They made their home in Mountain Lake. Albert died on December 29, 2003. She was a wife and mother. She worked part time at the Eventide Home as a housekeeper for 32 years and was named Housekeeper of the Year at one time. Hilda was active in many church activities, and she loved animals. In February 2004, Hilda entered the Good Samaritan Village in Mountain Lake, and this is where she died on Saturday, December 29, 2007. Hilda is survived by her daughter, Ruth Dilley and her husband Lowell of Hackettstown, NJ; a son, Robert Peters and his wife Dorene of Bend, OR; two grand daughters, Danna Jacobs and her husband Mike of Huntington Beach, CA, and Diane Pacitti and her husband Mark of Menofee, CA; two great grandchildren, Natalie and Anthony Pacitti; a brother, Herman Wannow of Watertown, MN; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Quiring and Hilda Worms, both of Mountain Lake; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; seven sisters, Justina Dick, Marie Krahn, Ann Nesby, Helen Pluck, Minnie Peters,Martha Wannow and Nettie Wannow; two brothers, John Wannow and Ted Wannow; and a sibling in infancy.
