Henry Willaby

There will be a graveside service at the Springfield City Cemetery in the spring of 2022. Henry Willaby was born to Henry Sr. and Olga (Ruddat) Willaby on May 31, 1946, in Comfrey, MN. In 1969, Henry was united in marriage to Cheryl Willemssen in Sanborn. Henry farmed with his parents and lived in Comfrey until moving south of Springfield in 1985. He worked at Ochs Brickyard and Halter Trucking. Henry returned to work at Ochs until he quit to care for his son Jared as he battled cancer. He loved to fish, hunt, garden and enjoyed sharing his harvest. Henry died on December 11, 2021, at Sleepy Eye Medical Center in Sleepy Eye, MN, at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife Cheryl Willaby of Springfield; and daughters - Jessica and husband Franklin Balak of Jamestown, ND and Jennifer Willaby of Janesville. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, son Jared in 2009, and brothers and sisters.
