Henry Junior Rettke was born November 19, 1932 in rural St. James to Henry F. and Elsie (Sanders) Rettke. He attended District 63 School south of St. James. Henry farmed his entire life on the family farm. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in St. James and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Henry Junior Rettke died Thursday, October 14, 2004 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato at the age of 71 years. Survivors include brothers- Raymond Rettke of St. James, Merton and wife Carol Rettke of Odin; sister- Pearl Haglund of Mountain Lake; one sister-in-law, Wilma Rettke of Odin; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother- Erwin 'Butch' Rettke; sister-in-law- Maxine Rettke; and brother-in-law- Warren Haglund.
