Henry Peters

Henry G. Peters, Mountain Lake, MN was called to his eternal rest on Wednesday morning, July 27, 2011 at the Sogge Good Samaritan Society in Windom, MN at the age of 92 years 9 months and 25 days. Henry G. Peters, son of Gerhard and Elisabeth (Penner) was born in Carson Township, Cottonwood County on October 2, 1918. Henry farmed with his parents until 1955 when he moved to Mt. Lake with them. He worked for Leonard Peters Plumbing one year and then he helped his mother take care of his father for 37 months. Later he took care of his mother. He worked 7 years for Mt. Lake Co-op Farmers Elevator and 18 years for Kennel Aire Manufacturing. He was baptized June 1, 1941 and upon confession of his faith was received into membership of Bethel Mennonite Church, Mt. Lake, MN. He is survived by one brother, Isaac, of Windom; one sister, Emma Krause,of Omaha, NE; and one sister-in-law, Berniece Peters, of Prior Lake, MN. Henry was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Gerhard, Diedrich, John, and Peter; three sisters, Olga Rahn, Elisabeth Baerg, and his twin sister, Martha, who died in infancy; three sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law.
