Henry Churchill

February 17, 1925 — April 16, 2006

Henry 'Dutch' Harrison Churchill was born February 17, 1925, in Revere, MN, the son of Henry and Anna (Kronback) Churchill. He graduated from Lamberton High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army on May 15, 1945. Following his honorable discharge on October 18, 1946, Dutch returned to Lamberton and worked at the Creamery. He then owned a co-op station in Jeffers for several years, then worked for John Deere and Waterman Trucking, before driving truck for Loe's Oil Company for 30 years. Dutch was united in marriage to Rose Marie Loe in 1966. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and a former member of Andrew Peterson American Legion Post #41. Dutch enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, bowling, gardening, wildlife, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Henry 'Dutch' Harrison Churchill died Sunday, April 16, 2006, at his daughter's home in rural Jeffers at the age of 81 years. Survivors include daughter- Sandy and husband Mark Hansen of Jeffers; son- John and wife Stephanie Churchill of Somerset, WI; grandchildren- Mike and Jessica Hansen and Joshua and Terri Jo Churchill; step-sons- Joe and wife Shelly Kranz of Chippewa Falls, WI and Todd Kranz of Hudson, WI; brothers- Elmer Churchill of Springfield, Jim and wife Ruth Churchill of Revere, Chet and wife Winifred Churchill of Revere, and Richard and wife Eunice Churchill of St. Paul; sister- Laura Sogge of Osakis, MN; sisters-in-law- Mary Ann Churchill of Morristown, MN and Jo Churchill of Redwood Falls; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers- Maurice, Vernon, Myron 'Mike', and Lawrence.
